Get Ready For This

So.

It's been eight years since my first pregnancy. Starting the day I got pregnant with Sam until the moment I gave birth to Scott, I decided I'd take care of any extra weight gain due to (a) getting pregnant, (b) being pregnant, (c) nursing, (d) not nursing, and (e) laziness at a later date.

Well, folks, the day has arrived. I've decided to shed my pregnancy weight using not one, but two, methods of exercise that will have me in bikini shape in no time flat (pending said activity actually occurs). The first comes as a result of my rare purchases via tv infomercials. Prior to this purchase, there has been only one other purchase for a set of Windsor Pilates videos advertised by Daisy Fuentes. I did not experience much success with said pilates videos. I blame my lack luster success on the fact that I had just had all four wisdom teeth pulled and the fact that I was on Vicodin when the call was made.

Brad can vouch for this.

This purchase, while not made under any drug-induced-like scenario, made me think I would tap into my Cuban roots and just dance my weight off. I present to you the Brazilian Butt Lift:

My ass should look like that in 60 days. 60 days people! Go ahead and click on the picture so you get a full picture of what's to be expected.

I know you're jealous.

Not one to do things half-heartedly, I have also combined the afore-mentioned exercise routine with Zumba class. I went to my first Zumba class last Friday morning. I schlepped Scotty and Izzy into the daycare room at 24 hour fitness and danced my bootie off.

The picture below pretty much sums up how it went.

Given the amount of soreness I'm experiencing at the moment, I might need 90 days to achieve results. Or maybe the pain I get in my side from doing these exercises will cause me to take a much needed break for like, I don't know, a year, maybe?

I'll keep you posted.

Things Izzy Says While Watching Bieber's "Never Say Never" Movie

Sam is a major JB fan. And so is Izzy.

Last week, Sam's best friend gave him his very own copy of Bieber's "Never Say Never" movie. We've watched it almost daily. For those of you who need a number...we're on viewing number 8. Awesome, right?

The movie is harmless and is mostly all singing and dancing. There are moments, however, that Izzy watches and she comments upon. Here are a few of her observations:

1. Oh, those girls are crying because they are sad, Mami. Actually, no. They're just happy to see Justin Bieber.

2. I can dance like that.

3. Hey, you guys! Hey! (yells louder) Hey!!!! Stop talking. I can't hear the movie.

4. Oh, this part is my favorite...it's Miley Cyrus.

5. Oh, no, no, no....THIS part is my favorite. I really like Usher. He's my favorite.

6. Those guys jumping in the back, Mami? They're really good dancers.

7. Oh, mami, I can dance like that (proceeds to throw herself on the floor)

8. Yay! It's Ludacris! Sam, look, it's Ludacris...not Jayden Smith.

9. Mami, those girls are yelling a lot.

10. That bus is for his family? That's a really big bus.

11. No, Sam, this is how you dance that song (starts jumping around).

12. Oh, yay! Confetti!!! It's like a party mama!

13. That fire right there, Mami-it's for Justin. It looks like he's on fire but he can't be on fire. That would be bad for him.

14. Pause the movie, Mami. I have to go potty.

World's Largest 4 month Old

We took Scotty in for his four month check up and our "little dude" weighs 17 pounds and measure3 27 3/4 inches. WTH?!?!?! Once I'm done providing breast milk for Scotty, I should seriously consider doing it full time for babies who need super-duper-amazing breast milk. Not only would I be able to eat as much as I want all day everyday, I'd also be the best humanitarian on the face of this planet. Hmmmm....

But I digress.

Here are a few things we've learned about him so far.....

1. He only cries when he's hungry. The rest of the time, he's a really happy boy.
2. He doesn't seem to mind when Sam picks him up and uses him as a human shield.
3. He likes it when Izzy sings to him.
4. His favorite thing to pull on is Izzy's hair.
5. He loves it when Izzy and Sam sing, dance, or otherwise entertain him with anything from Justin Beiber.
6. His favorite tickle spot is inside his armpit and right below his belly.
7. He's a chatterbox-especially when Sam is the one talking to him.
8. He could care less if there is poo in his diaper.
9. He loves to soak in the bath.

And, best of all, he's sleeping 8-9 hours a night with one wake-up for a feeding and then does another three or four hours. Boo-ya!!!! One of these days, I'm going to get that much sleep too.

Below are a few candid shots of our adorable little man:

Well, hello there!

Scotty will talk to anybody.......

Easter Photo Shoot 2012

Well, it's been a while but, in my defense, I've been kinda busy. The photo shoot below is proof of why I was in hibernation. Enjoy a glimpse into our circus act.
